Visit Ganvié launches guided tours with native Tofinu guides

We are pleased to announce the official launch of our guided tours in Ganvié, designed and led by native Tofinu guides. The goal is simple: offer an authentic experience of the stilt village, far from standardized tours, with locals who know every canal, every story, every corner of Ganvié.

Trained and certified guides

Our guides are all native to Ganvié, from Tofinu families who have lived on the lake for generations. They were selected for their knowledge of the terrain, their ability to convey their people's history, and their sense of hospitality.

Each guide has completed training in visitor reception, pirogue safety, and cultural mediation. They speak French, English, and the Tofinu language.

Three tour options

The Ganvié Odyssey (half-day): lake crossing, floating market, canal tour, artisan village. Ideal for a first discovery.

Ganvié by Night (overnight): dinner on stilts, night pirogue ride, sunrise at the dawn market. The most immersive experience.

Combined Circuit (3-5 days): Ganvié + Ouidah + Abomey with transport and accommodation included.

All tours have fixed prices, no surprises. Booking is available online or via WhatsApp.
